Payment and Compliance Notice

Last updated: August 20, 2026

This notice explains who takes your money when you buy from zamblek.com, how tax and invoicing work, what happens to your card details, and the compliance rules that apply to a sale. It sits alongside our Terms of Use, Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy.

1. Who You Are Buying From

Zamblek builds and licenses the products. Freemius sells them: it is the merchant of record for every Zamblek product sale, which means it owns the checkout, takes the payment, calculates and remits tax, issues your invoice, and processes refunds and chargebacks.

The practical consequence is that your card or bank statement will show Freemius, not Zamblek. If you do not recognise a charge, check your receipt email before treating it as fraud — raising a dispute against a legitimate purchase can suspend your licence while the bank reviews it.

Your licence to use the product is granted by Zamblek under our Terms of Use. The payment relationship is with Freemius; the product relationship is with us.

2. Prices, Currency & Conversion

Prices are shown in the currency listed for that product, which is US dollars unless the product or Pricing page states otherwise. Checkout may present an equivalent amount in your local currency.

Where a conversion happens, the rate is set by Freemius or by your bank or card issuer, not by us. Your bank may also add its own foreign-transaction or conversion fee. Those differences are outside our control and are not grounds for a refund.

We may change prices at any time. A change never affects a purchase you have already completed, and for an active subscription we will tell you before a new price applies to a renewal.

3. Tax & Invoices

As merchant of record, Freemius determines whether VAT, GST, or sales tax applies to your order based on the country and details you give at checkout, then collects and remits it. Tax is shown before you confirm the purchase.

Your invoice is issued by Freemius and sent by email when the payment completes. If you are buying as a business, enter your company name and VAT or tax registration number at checkout — that is what puts them on the invoice, and reissuing an invoice afterwards is not always possible.

For a lost invoice, a correction, or a billing address change, open a ticket from Support with your order reference and we will take it up with Freemius.

4. Card Details & Payment Security

Your card details never reach Zamblek. The checkout is operated by Freemius, and card data is captured and stored by Freemius and its payment providers under their own PCI-DSS obligations. We do not receive, process, or store card numbers, CVV codes, or bank credentials, and we cannot see them.

What we do receive back from Freemius, and store against your account, is the information needed to give you what you bought: your email address, the product and plan, the licence key, the order and payment reference, and the dates that determine your access and support window.

How we handle that data is covered by our Privacy Policy. Never send card numbers, passwords, or private keys in a support ticket — we do not need them and will ask you to delete the message.

5. Subscriptions & Renewals

A Monthly or Yearly subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, charged to the payment method on file by Freemius, until you cancel it. A one-time Regular or Extended licence is a single payment and never renews on its own.

To stop a subscription renewing, cancel before the renewal date using the management link in your Freemius receipt email, or open a ticket and we will arrange it. You keep access for the period you have already paid for, plus the 30-day grace period described on our Pricing page.

If a renewal payment fails — an expired card, insufficient funds, or a bank decline — Freemius will retry it and notify you. If it keeps failing the subscription lapses, and with it your support and updates. Renewals are not refundable; see the Refund Policy.

6. Sanctions & Restricted Countries

Sales are subject to applicable sanctions, export-control, and trade laws. We cannot sell, licence, or provide support to anyone in a comprehensively sanctioned territory, or to any person or organisation on an applicable restricted-party or sanctions list. Freemius applies its own screening at checkout, and a payment may be declined for that reason.

By buying, you confirm that you are not located in such a territory, are not on such a list, and are not acting for someone who is, and that you will not export or re-export the product in breach of those laws.

If we learn after a sale that it was prohibited, we may cancel the licence and end access. Where we are legally able to refund such a purchase we will; sometimes the law prevents that.

7. Fraud Screening & Chargebacks

Orders are screened for fraud by Freemius and its payment providers. An order may be held for review or declined — usually a mismatch between the card, the billing address, and the location it was used from. A decline is not a judgement about you, and you are welcome to open a ticket if you think one was wrong.

Please talk to us before opening a chargeback or payment dispute. A ticket is almost always faster. If a dispute is opened, we may suspend the related licence, downloads, and support access while the payment provider reviews it.

We may decline sales, cancel licences, and restrict access where we reasonably believe there is payment fraud, chargeback abuse, stolen card use, licence misuse, or unauthorised redistribution of our files.

8. Changes & Contact

We may update this notice as our payment arrangements and legal obligations change, and will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the page when we do. The version in force at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to that purchase.

For anything about a payment, an invoice, or an order, open a ticket from Support. You can also review our Refund Policy and Support Policy.
