All in all this is a surprisingly good solution, unfortunately with quite some problems. The quality of the german localization is beyond messy. It is extremely incomplete and some of the translations are either very bad or complete giberish (I was only able to undestand some of the translations after having a look into the po file in PoEdit and looking what the original phrase was). A LOT of phrases are completely untranslated. So the claim this has german language option is misleading. You will have A LOT of work translating this mess, that also is not sure if it wants to use formal or informal language. Also umlauts (ö,ä,ü,ß) were not usable in names, but that was fixed quite fast, the dev provided me with a solution to fix that and from the information I got that will be part of 3.6. There are some questionable UX decisions. For example the comments are sorted latest to the top instead of latest at the end of the comment thread. That is not the way users are accustomed to and other applications or forums do it. There at least should be an option in the backend to sort the comments in the way the users are comfortable with, something like that is standard nowadays. The developer answers to support questions quite fast, but the answers are not always helpful and tickets are closed without giving the option to respond or without offering a real solution. I would have helped with the german translation, but after the latest unsatisfying responses from support I guess I will keep my translations for me until the situation improves. If you are okay with a somewhat clunky UX and do not need german language I guess the software is okay, especially for the price. Had I known about the language and especially the comment sorting problem I would maybe have looked for another solution. Since I already invested a lot of time in this I'll have to stay with it.
